Rio nell’Elba

The Elba Book Festival, the leading event on Elba Island dedicated to independent publishing, returns to Rio nell’Elba in July 2026 for its 12th edition, ready to welcome readers, authors, publishers and culture enthusiasts from across Italy.

Founded in 2015 through the collaboration of local institutions, associations and businesses, the festival has grown into an important meeting place for cultural exchange and discussion, where books, ideas and different perspectives come together in an open and inspiring dialogue.

The theme chosen for the 2026 edition is “Naviganti” (“Navigators”), an invitation to explore new cultural horizons, journey through stories, experiences and points of view, and be guided by curiosity and the power of knowledge. The programme will feature meetings with authors, book presentations, debates, workshops and events dedicated to discovering some of the most interesting voices and projects in Italian independent publishing.
