The most beautiful beaches of Elba Island
Sant’Anna del Volterraio is not only an extraordinary vacation spot. It is also the perfect base for you to visit the most beautiful beaches of Elba Island. Ask our staff, a young dynamic team, to advise you how to discover the marvels of Elba Island all alone.
La Biodola Beach
Placed between Procchio and Portoferraio, La Biodola beach is located in one of the most famous gulf of Elba Island. Its 600 meters long thin sand coast, surrounded by the green Mediterranean maquis, makes it a beautiful place to visit even without taking a swim. The beach is perfect for all ages, thanks to a shallow sea bottom. The kids can bathe safely and the grown ups can have a long walk in the water without any problem.
Cavoli Beach
Cavoli beach, on the South Side of Elba Island, is an ideal spot for young people who want to have fun on holidays. For all summer, Cavoli is animated by beach parties, dj sets, live music and fantastic cocktails. The sand, granular in its composition, is ideal for tanning: the sand doesn’t stick to the skin.
Padulella Beach
170 meters long and located in the northern side of Elba Island, in the direction of Le Ghiaie, Padulella Beach is an outstanding example of white pebble beach. The water is crystal clear and the location is sheltered from the Scirocco wind, making it a perfect destination for those seeking rest and tranquility. Although it is never too crowded, there are plenty of services for families such as restaurants, bars, surf and sailing schools.
Sansone Beach
Sansone beach is a little gem in the North side of Elba Island. The water is clear, often transparent, and the beach is made of wonderful and smooth white pebbles. This is probably one of the most fascinating places in the surrounding area of Portoferraio, but it is a difficult destination to visit, since there are no direct roads nor a real free parking. Who has the patience and the will to walk a little, however, will be rewarded with a magnificent outlook.
L'Enfola Beach
Headquarters of the National Park of the Tuscan Archipelago and former tuna fishery, Capo d'Enfola is famous for the isthmus that connects the island, creating two beautiful pebble beaches. The south side, with its stunning views of the coast, is equipped with bars, restaurants and pedal boat rentals.
Capo Sant’Andrea
Sant’Andrea is the right place for those who enjoy sunbathing on the rocks and have fun with diving sessions, its seabed is deep everywhere except for his small sandy beach. The most distinctive feature though are the large slabs of polished granite, locally called "coti piane”, and the flowers that paint all the cliffs with fuchsia shades.
Chiessi Beach
Chiessi Beach is located in the west side of the Island of Elba, more precisely in the town of Marciana. The water is clear, the beach is made of pebbles and, given its location, the winds from the South make it an ideal destination for windsurfers who have no problem with the length of the beach, just over 80 meters.
Fetovaia Beach
Fetovaia beach is perhaps one of the most famous one of Elba Island, with its golden sand and clear water. Embraced by granite cliffs, it is a favorite destination for many tourists who can not resist his charm. Its beauty, however, makes it very crowded, so for those looking for relaxation there are definitely better options.
Recommended! Beautiful location, close to the beach, lots of green, trees, plants and grass; beautiful view on the mountains, great swimming pool and very accomodating people working there
We come back … great environment, good location. Nice apartment with intimacy. Nice and friendly staff.
The location is indeed enchanting, set in greenery with topnotch service and a courteous and well-prepared staff. The breakfast is abundant. There is impeccable daily room service. We enjoyed ourselves very much and we plan to return—without a doubt
